Jewelry Care

Each piece of Paola Pacheco jewelry is handcrafted, therefore, it is delicate. Please handle each piece with extra care to ensure it lasts a lifetime. We suggest removing jewelry while swimming, bathing, exercising, or working with chemicals or harsh abrasives. When not wearing your jewelry, it should be kept in a safe and secure place, and stored in the jewelry box provided at the time of purchase.

Care for White Diamonds

Diamonds can be safely cleaned using lint-free cloths, mild soap and water, or jewelry cleaning solutions. Avoid harsh methods at home. Soak in warm soapy water, gently brush with a soft toothbrush, rinse, and pat dry. Periodically check settings, and consider professional cleaning once a year for best care.

Care for Black Diamonds

Black diamonds are natural diamonds that have been treated to give them their black color. Due to this treatment, they are sensitive to heat, chlorine and other household chemicals. Do not subject them to high temperatures or ultrasonic cleaners.

Care for Pearls

Pearls are delicate and require gentle care. Avoid contact with lotions, perfumes, cosmetics, and hair products. Wipe with a soft cloth after each wear to remove residue and preserve their luster. Store separately from other jewelry, and avoid plastic bags, as some plastics can release chemicals that damage pearls over time.

Care for Gemstones

Keep gemstones away from high heat, chemicals, oils, perfumes, and household cleaners. Clean with warm, soapy water and dry immediately using a soft cloth. Avoid commercial jewelry cleaners, steam, and ultrasonic machines, as they may damage the stone or setting.

Charm Necklaces

It is normal for charm necklaces to experience slight wear as the various charms come into contact with one another. Paola Pacheco is not responsible for the natural scratches that will form on your jewelry. Please note that customizable jewelry cannot be re-stamped and letters cannot be added.

Care for White Gold/Rhodium Plating

Rhodium plating is not permanent and may fade over time, especially with frequent wear. Use a jewelry cloth only on areas not covered by black rhodium, and avoid liquid cleaners. Over time, plating may fade; pieces can be professionally re-plated. Avoid chlorine, which weakens gold.
